Recharge Readiness: Flood Diversion and Recharge Enhancement Assistance

DWR is supporting local flood and groundwater agencies to plan and coordinate diversions to help reduce flood risk and increase recharge by diverting, slowing, and spreading floodwaters onto suitable recharge areas. Erica Haight will describe DWR’s technical and on-the-ground assistance through the FDRE Program. Christine Gutierrez, GEI, and Mike Mierzwa, DWR, will discuss the Flood-MAR Dashboard and other planning tools to assist local agencies in identifying potential conditions under which flood water can be diverted.
